Interview and Giveaway with Michelle McLean Author of A Bandit's Broken Heart

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Michelle McLean

 

1. What made you want to be a writer?

I’m not sure actually. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be a writer. I’ve always written stories, even when I was little. My mom found a story I’d written when I was four or five called The Fluffy Kitten lol It might have been because I always loved reading so much. I started reading at a very early age (and my mom read to me every day before then). Books have always been my greatest pleasure. I suppose it was just natural for me to start writing them :)

2. Who is your favorite author?

Lol way too many to choose from :D But, Victoria Holt was the first romance writer I ever read. I devoured everything she wrote…and then discovered that Victoria Holt was just a pen name and she had many, many more books under several other names. I was in heaven :D

3. What is the name of the last book you read?

Dead Ever After – the last book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. LOVE that series!

4. Tell us about yourself in 3 words?

Over-imaginative, efficient, goofy

5. What is your favorite activity?

Reading :D

6. If your book could be made into a movie? Which actors would you have play the main two characters?

Hmmm, for Brynne maybe Alexandra Daddario or Ginnifer Goodwin and for Richard, maybe Chris Hemworth or Paul Walker.

7. Who is your favorite character in your book?

My main character, Brynne. The poor thing has just been so through so much…and her life doesn’t get much better in this book for awhile. You can’t help rooting for her :D

8. What's in your TBR ( to be read) pile?

Oh, so many books :D I haven’t had much time to read lately, so my TBR pile is frighteningly huge :D Two of the books on top are Robyn DeHart’s The Secrets of Mia Danvers are Laurell K. Hamilton’s Affliction.

9. What are 3 of your pet peeves?

Inefficiency, disorganization, and clutter (so…I’m frequently irritating myself LOL Especially at the moment because with looming deadlines, my house is falling apart around my ears. I’m getting to the point where I just want to whip out the trash bags and get rid of EVERYTHING  :D )

10. What's your favorite ( cats or dogs), ( coffee or tea), and what's your favorite food?

I like cats AND dogs, but if I could only have one I’d probably pick a cat. I’m actually really sensitive to caffeine so I’ll generally choose hot chocolate over anything else any day :D Favorite food….it’s a toss-up between chocolate and fruit. Oooo chocolate-covered fruit! Perfect :D
