Image
Would you love to see the look on your little persons face when they received a letter from Santa. Well check out my review of Santa's letter and get your own for 25% off. My son received this letter and was too excited to open his letter. The letter came in shining red paper address to my little guy stating it came from Santa at the North Pole. My little guy could not wait to tear into his personalized letter. The letters had a great personal touch  talking about the things he wanted for Christmas and how well he is doing in school. The ordering process is very easy. You put you child's information in and they customize the letter to fit your child. NourISH Nail Polish Review

Image
Anyone that knows me, knows I love to polish my nails. I have done previous post about my favorite colors and designs. So when I came across the chance to review nail polish I was very excited. So for my color choice I choose Fuscia  being  as I love any shade of purple. I received my nail polish in the mail and could not wait to do my nails. This polish is made from organic products to help you achieve health nails. Some of the ingredients in the polish are Soy Protein and vitamin E to help combat dry nails. Overall I liked the product and would use again. The polish goes on smooth and coats the nail well so you don't have to apply so much. There was not a strong smell which to me is a plus.  The nail polish lasted for about 2 weeks. This is through tons of hand washing, bath times, and dish washing. Website to purchase nail polish If you would like to review the NourISH Nail Polish contact Ann Alder @ Annalder 71@gmail.com The Simple Things i...

Author Interview: Meredith Mansfield of Blood Will Tell

Image
1. What made you want to be a writer? Well, I've always loved to read and make up stories in my head. I kept on with that even when everyone else had given up "make believe." I remember reading a book (actually, THE LORD OF THE RINGS) and thinking "I wish I could do that." And then thinking, "How do I know unless I try?" And now here I am. 2. Who is your favorite author? Lois McMaster Bujold. But, in the fields of urban fantasy and paranormal romance, I would have to choose Patricia Briggs for her Mercy Thompson series. 3. What is the name of the last book you read? The answer to this will change several times before this goes live. As of this writing: The last book I finished was Gail Carriger's ETIQUETTE AND ESPIONAGE. I'm currently in the middle of Dorothy L. Sayers GAUDY NIGHT (a mystery with a love story mixed in) and reading a collection of L. Frank Baum's Oz stories as research. 4. Tell us about yourself in 3 words?...

Author Interview: Adele Downs of Santa to the Rescue

Image
I had the pleasure of chatting with Adele of Santa to the Rescue 1. What made you want to be a writer ? I’ve been writing since I was nine. I used to lie on my stomach for hours on my bedroom floor and write poems and stories in a copybook with a #2 pencil. My senior year in high school, my English teacher urged me to write for publication. Pleased by her encouragement, I started submitting to newspapers. My first story was published in a Sunday magazine at age 19. I can’t explain what compels me to write; it’s just something I’ve always done. Perhaps it’s in my blood, since I come from an artistic family. 2 . Who is your favorite author ? I have several favorites, so it’s hard to choose only one. I go through phases where I’ll read everything an author writes and she becomes my favorite.  At present I’m bingeing on Lisa Gardner thrillers. 3. What is the name of the last book you read?   Maggie’s Man by Alicia Scott (a.k.a. Lisa Gardner, before she switc...

Cofessions of an Author's Assistant: Victoria Danann

Image
Confessions of an Author’s Assistant Judy Fox and Sarah Blausey Being an author’s assistant is a job like no other: Exciting, fulfilling, and, at times, crazy! We work for an Indie author, Victoria Danann, which adds another level of challenge to the mix. Without a big publisher behind us, we work on her behalf to get the word out about her amazing books. Here’s our first confession: Neither of us has worked as an author’s assistant before! We were both fans first, as well as being members of her street team. She mentioned one day that she was looking for a new assistant, and both of us replied. Being a smart woman, Victoria realized how amazing we both are. So, instead of choosing one, she hired us both! Now the three of us are blazing our own trail in the wild world of Indie publishing. Our most important functions are managing Victoria’s social media and the street team, which is a group of some of the most devoted Victoria fans around. The street team is one of our most i...

Author Interview: Dannika Dark of Seven Years

Image
Today, I have the pleasure of chatting with Dannika of Seven Years 1. What made you want to be a writer? I wish I had a straight answer for this, but I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was a around twelve. I just didn’t know what kind of writer I wanted to be. I was one of those kids who daydreamed all the time and even as an adult, retained my vivid imagination. I love the idea of getting lost in another world and creating characters who come to life. I wrote poetry, song lyrics, and tapped into emotions. But back then, breaking out in publishing was not easy because there were too many gatekeepers and a long line. I ended up pouring my passion for writing into my day job by writing procedures, training material, etc. A few years ago, I decided it was time to pursue it seriously. It took me all those years to figure out that writing is what I was meant to do all along. Yes, it’s a full-time job that requires a minimum of 8 hours a day of writing, but I love it. 2. Who is ...
