Author Interview

Author Interview with Catherine Wolffe

I want to start by thanking you for having me on your blog today. I love talking about my books and the inspiration behind my writing.

1. What made you want to be a writer?

For me, wanting to be a writer has evolved over the last several years. I've always enjoyed reading and somewhere around 2008 I decided I wanted to write. Having never attempted more than a few short stories, I began a long and arduous journey that continues today. We never stop learning, so I continue to work at the craft and enjoy each new victory.

2. Who is your favorite author
?

I'd have to say, Nora Roberts. I've read everything she's put out and reread many of her books over and over. Her characters have such life and depth. I love her voice as well as her alter ego's, JD Robb.
3. What is the name of the last book you read

That would be Tarnished Knight by Bec McMasters. I think I found a new sub-genre to enjoy - steampunk with vampires and werewolves.

4. Tell us about yourself in 3 words?

Actually, that's a fairly easy one - tenacious, obsessive and tender hearted. Can we say I'm rather hard to live with? lol
5. What is your favorite activity?
Enjoying my grandchildren is number one and writing is number two.

6. If your book could be made into a movie? Which actors would you have play the main two characters?
That's an easy one too. I'd pick Gerald Butler for Comanche Haven. He's my inspiration for Seth in Comanche Haven because he's a man's man with a brooding nature. Celia is Kate Beckensale.

I'd say Tyler Loflin in The Lady in the Mist would have to be Hugh Jackman. I see him clearly as I'm writing the books in the Western Werewolf Legend series. He has a big heart and a short fuse. Sonja would be .Rachel Adams. She's quiet but strong. Check out my muse board for The Western Werewolf Legend series at Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/catherinewolffe/the-lady-in-the-mist-muse/

7. Who is your favorite character in your book?

I love Seth, the tortured hero in Comanche Haven. I also love Ty in The Lady in the Mist.

 8. What's in your TBR ( to be read) pile?

Tasted by Randi Fang, Ascend by Alexandra Anthony and more of Bec McMasters steampunk and vampires series just to name 3 of 10,000. Lol

9. What are 3 of your pet peeves?

Whiny people who love drama are number one. Wasting time is number two and cruelty to animals is number three.
10. What's your favorite ( cats or dogs), ( coffee or tea), and what's your favorite food?

Dogs, I have seven living with me - three rescues and four Rat Terriers. Coffee is my go to stimulus, but I love iced tea too! Being from the south, I grew up with iced tea, so it's like comfort food/drink.
