Release Day Blitz and Giveaway: Silver Wolf Clan by Tera Shanley

1. What made you want to be a writer?

I started out as a song writer, but my love of reading made me want to try writing novels.

2. Who is your favorite author?

Patricia Briggs. She writes seriously good shifter romances.

3. What is the name of the last book you read?

I just finished the first book in the Wolf Within series by Amy Lee Burgess, called Beneath the Skin. Loved her take on werewolves and the world she created.

4. Tell us about yourself in 3 words?

Loyal, hard-working, caring

5. What is your favorite activity?

Besides writing, it would have to be anything outside. Fishing, hiking, camping – if it’s done outside, I probably love it.

6. If your book could be made into a movie? Which actors would you have play the main two characters?

Charlie Hunnam for Grey, and Megan Fox for Morgan. Whoa that was a lot easier than I thought it would be, haha. Yep, love them.

7. Who is your favorite character in your book?

Wolf. He’s Grey’s animal inside and is a separate personality and I know I shouldn’t like him because he’s domineering, and mouthy, and brash, and says the wrong things, but I’m so intrigued by what he’s going to push Grey to do next. And I love his dialogue. He just has no empathy for anything, so watching him try to figure out human emotion is entertaining.

8. What's in your TBR ( to be read) pile?

I’ve just done a huge push to try and hit a goal of emptying my kindle before I find more books. Silly, I know, but I love the challenge of it, so I’ve been reading like a maniac lately trying to reach that goal. That being said, I don’t have much left in my kindle! Trying to read based on the order I got them. Up next is Worst Week Ever, A Beautiful Mess, Love & the Zombie Apocalypse, and Your Heart My Soul.

9. What are 3 of your pet peeves?

Being late on deadlines (I’m punctual so when deadlines are missed, it gives me eye-twitches), moochers, and bullies.

10. What's your favorite ( cats or dogs), ( coffee or tea), and what's your favorite food?

Dogs (though I love cats too!), green tea and Swiss Cake Rolls are my favorite food.

Book Description:

What happens when monsters turn out to be real? One summer night while camping in the woods, Morgan Carter finds out in a big way. A tall mysterious stranger, Greyson Crawford, risks his life to try and save her sister from the vicious wolf attacking their camp. When he’s bitten and disappears into the night, Morgan can only assume the worst.

Greyson shows up a year later, and he’s a different animal altogether. His eye color shifts constantly and the rumble in his throat sounds more animal than human. She hasn’t any idea where he’s been all this time, but a good guess as to what he’s become.

Grey is determined not to let the darkness of his new existence affect Morgan and the little girl in her care. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Morgan but knows he should stay away and let her live a normal life. That’s easier said than done, though. A new danger pulls him from the shadows to keep her safe, and he’s no wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Can she accept what lurks just below his surface? More importantly, can she survive him?

Excerpt:

Grey’s arms and legs were on fire, burning from his very veins, blistering every nerve ending on the way out. Why was the pain tearing through his chest? He tried to hail the woman but nothing came out except a quiet groan. Was he dying? He arched his neck toward her sister. Her body was so mangled it was all but unrecognizable as human. The girl’s eyes were open, fixed, staring back at him. She was dead. Would he die, too? What was that thing? That monster?

Maybe this was all a dream. Maybe he still slept, back in his campsite a quarter of a mile away. He’d been sleeping there only a few minutes ago. Maybe he was just having a vivid night terror and he’d wake at any moment to the relief that this wasn't real. The girl slid over to him, but he was already panting in pain. Fire in his blood burned him up.

Her mouth moved, but he couldn't hear anything over the roaring in his ears. Like helicopter blades, the sound drowned out everything. Her lips were full, and when his vision blurred, he tried to focus on her face. She was beautiful. Tiny. Delicate like a hummingbird. Even through spilling tears, the moss green color of

her eyes was clear and compelling.

Her voice overcame the screeching in his ears. “What’s your name?”

“Greyson,” he rasped. “Greyson Crawford.” Someone should know who he was. Notify Dad what had happened there in the woods of Enchanted Rock. “What’s yours?” It was getting so hard to breathe. He had to know. He’d leave the world on her name.

“Morgan. My name’s Morgan.”

Five Fun Facts about Greyson Crawford

Used To Be A Shy Guy
Before turning into a werewolf, Grey was shy and kind to a fault. But after Wolf, the massively dominant animal inside him, takes over his life, being shy isn’t an option anymore. His kinder human side often battles with Wolf to try and find a balance.

Reluctant Trust Fund Recipient
When his mother was alive, she’d set up a trust fund for Grey, unbeknownst to his tyrant father. After she died, Grey wanted nothing to do with the lucrative, but draining, family businesses and cut ties with his father, forfeiting his trust fund to live within the means he could provide for himself.

Wolf Thrives On Chaos
Where Grey’s human side is reserved and quiet, his wolf is happiest fighting, which gets Grey into some really tough (and painful) spots.

He Chose His Mate The Moment He Turned Into A Werewolf
While camping at Enchanted Rock, Grey awakes to a woman’s screams and runs to her defense from an impossibly large wolf. Bitten in the process, he and newly conjured Wolf unintentionally choose Morgan as his mate while she works to save him. But when he wakes up, she is nowhere to be found. It takes him an entire year to finally track her down.

Had To Leave His Old Life Behind
Determined to keep humans safe from the dangerous Wolf lurking inside of him, Grey is forced to cash out his 401k and quit his job in the city. With his maker dead, he has no one to teach him about what he’s become, and he lives meagerly, on the edge of society, until the Dallas pack picks him up six months after he’s Turned.

Grey and his animal side, Wolf, have a complicated working relationship, transforming the old shy Grey into a dominant alpha male with an acute sense of right and wrong. And he’ll need his new senses, skills, and logic if he’s going to keep Morgan safe from the rest of his kind.
Silver Wolf Clan, book 1 in the Silver Wolf Clan series, begins Grey’s epic journey to find and protect his mate, Morgan, as she is transformed into the only living silver wolf.

Five Fun Facts about the Heroine of Silver Wolf Clan

Heroine of the Silver Wolf Clan series, Morgan Carter, is a complex woman, and a lot of that stems from her experiences in diving unwittingly into the dark underbelly of the supernatural world. Fighting for a normal life in the midst of discovering she is the last of an ancient clan of werewolves, she has to figure out which of qualities from her old life will help her survive the chaos happening around her.

Protective Instincts
She is fearless when it comes to trying to save her sister, but it isn’t enough. Even with Grey and her trying to fend off the beast, they lose the fight, and only one of them makes it out human. The people she lets close to her, she loves fiercely and feels very protective over. Grey included, and though he is capable of defending them both, she works to save him back.

Gaurdian
Her protective instincts come in handy when it comes to raising her late sister’s daughter, Lana. Listed in her sister’s will as Lana’s guardian, Morgan rearranges her entire life to accommodate a surprise family. She loves Lana like her own and would do anything for her.

Only Known Living Silver Wolf
After being bitten by a jealous she-wolf, it becomes clear that Morgan’s bloodlines have been harboring a secret. She’s a silver wolf, the only known breeding werewolf.

Independent Streak
Raised by a single mom, Morgan doesn’t want to depend on anyone, resulting in a fierce protection of her independence. Learning to depend on the safety Grey and the Dallas pack have to offer is something she struggles with throughout the series. While fighting to maintain her own life on her terms, she unintentionally puts herself in danger by refusing help.

History of Violence
After training in martial arts since she was a kid, Morgan focuses more on boxing as an outlet to relieve stress after she’s attacked in the woods. Hitting a heavy bag feels like the only way she can keep her emotions in check. In addition to her experience in competitive fighting, she is also a collector of bladed weapons, which she has the know-how to use.
